All the Daughters of Holy Mary of the Heart of Jesus are committed to cooperating, through our prayer life and our fidelity to our religious life, with the process helping young women who feel that they are called to follow the Lord, to become fulfilled individuals who are integrated into the Institute with the strength of unity as consecrated women in faith, in love and in responsibility.
The Sisters who are formators, help each novice to discover her own gifts and to comprehend the meaning of her vocation better, in order to live with greater plenitude our Charism and to carry out our mission in the Church.
On September 26, 1989, the story of our Novitiate Piedras Vivas began when we moved from Barcelona to Galapagar-Madrid. Our Mother María de Jesús Velarde, along with other Mothers and Sisters and all the novices and pre-novices arrived with great excitement and devoted themselves to the task of preparing, with great attention to detail, what today is considered the spiritual and prayer center of our Religious Institute, Monte del Gozo.
At the moment, the Community of the Novitiate Piedras Vivas is constituted by the Mother Mistress, Professed Sisters, and Sisters in Formation that are members of the Novitiate. The two years of the Novitiates have the goal of helping the novices get to know their divine vocation and particularly, the one of the Institute, that they experience its way of life, that they conform their mind and heart to its spirit and that their intention and aptitude can be demonstrated. The second year, all the novices of our 7 novitiates come together here.
