DOYMAR - Prayer Movement

"Prayerful and Marian-Apostolic Disciples of the Redemption"

The D.O.Y.M.A.R. Prayer Movement in the United States

The Daughters of Holy Mary of the Heart of Jesus began the D.O.Y.M.A.R. Prayer Movement in the United States (Steubenville, Ohio) in 2011. In 2019, we brought it to Columbus, Ohio.

Currently, it is offered for:

  • Pilgrim Youth (Young Women 11th grade & up) Those who desire to seek, know, love and serve the Lord as a group and receive formation in the faith, light along the path toward holiness and aid to discern God´s will for their life.
Their monthly gatherings begin with the Holy Mass and the Prayer Encounter follows, including a talk by one of the Sisters, Eucharistic Adoration and testimonies of the participants. Overnight Eucharistic Adoration may be offered for those who wish to go deeper in their relationship with the Lord through this extended time of prayer.
  • Traveling Teens (Girls 6th-10th Grade) They desire to grow in their prayer life, guided by the Holy Spirit and in union with Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. The monthly activities include Holy Mass, formational talks, Eucharistic Adoration, songs, games and crafts.
  • Eucharistic Girls (Girls 3rd-5th Grade) & Pre-Eucharistic Girls (Girls 1st-2nd Grade) Those who are preparing to receive their First Holy Communion and those who have already received it and desire to grow in their relationship with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist. The monthly meeting includes the Holy Mass, introduction to Eucharistic piety and adoration, formation, songs, games and crafts.
