Candidacy is a period of time prior to a young woman’s entrance as a postulant in our Institute, which time generally ranges from one month to a year.
Candidacy is for young women who wish to deepen their understanding of the call to religious life and our life as Daughters of Holy Mary of the Heart of Jesus. It is a time of mutual discernment during which candidates to get to know us better and we also get to know them. It facilitates discerning the call of the Lord and how to follow him along the path of the specific Charism of our Institute, Daughters of Holy Mary of the Heart of Jesus.
Candidates are young women who have finished high school or college and live in one of our Communities close to the Novitiate.
Candidates work with us in some of our apostolates and join us for prayer and game time. They follow a balanced schedule and are guided by one of the Sisters who helps with them throughout this time, accompanying them in the process of discerning their vocation.
